2nd place today and still pretty okay at 5ks. It’s nice to still be able to slip on the race shoes 👟 after starting the week on the actual wrong foot. There are so many people to thank for helping me get through the first part of this year (you know who you are). Looking forward to more of this coming soon 🔜 📸:@jswayze44
Words have always been an important part of how I express myself. But lately I’ve had a hard time finding the words to express how I feel about some heavier things in life. Not because I don’t have feelings for these things, but because the right words do not exist in the universe. I took a quick trip home to Texas this weekend to spend some time with my Dad who was just diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. Cancer hasn’t been something that runs in my family so it took a lot of us by surprise. While the good news is that it’s a highly treatable form of cancer and they caught it fairly early, the bad news is that there is still a very difficult and aggressive treatment path ahead. The great news is that my dad is one of the greatest fighters and survivors I know. Between being a 36x marathoner, surviving a near fatal car accident resulting in a total hip reconstruction, and putting up with me (I promise I wasn’t that bad), I don’t think cancer knows what it’s up against. Keep him in your thoughts as he starts down this journey. My only summation of words and feelings: FUCK cancer.
As the saying goes: it’s not a matter of if, but when. As we were tacking on the extra miles to get to 80 at the end of our ride, we almost missed a turn and another rider and I tangled our bars and I flipped over my bike, landing hard on my shoulder. I’m finishing camp a little early with a broken collarbone. I’m in great spirits all things considered, and I’m grateful for the swift and calming help of @matthansontri. Yes, the bike is okay.
Send it Saturday! Started off @matthansonracing Clermont Camp with a pinched eTap wire (user error of course) that made for an interesting 50 mile ride yesterday. Thanks to Epic Cycles in Clermont for the quick fix so I can get back out with the gang today!
Getting better at the skinny skis thing. Thank you @chutler for being our tour guide. We will miss you @ildigaal!!
That time I got aero for 5 minutes in December. Thanks for the ride, boys! @boulderracing_cms
Champions are created when you can’t seem them.

Fun times test riding a @iamspecialized Diverge today. Put it to the test with lots of road, gravel, and even light mountain bike trails (aka gravel+). Thanks Ryan and Maia for the new route and fun adventure ride!
